Breathwork and Nervous System Integration Certification

Transform How You Guide Others Through Evidence-Based Somatic Practices

A rigorous 4-day intensive certification from the Inner Power Institute for therapists and coaches ready to expand their impact

What would your practice look like if you could help clients break through where traditional methods plateau? If you could end each day feeling energized rather than depleted, with a regulated nervous system that allows you to be fully present for both your professional mission and personal relationships?

Our mission at the Inner Power Institute is to help you TRANSFORM LIVES by mastering evidence-based somatic practices that address the root causes of overwhelm, anxiety, and performance blocks.

During our time together...

...you'll implement the powerful breathwork and nervous system integration tools you master in this certification, creating breakthrough moments for your clients while sustaining your own wellbeing and presence.

Assess: You'll learn comprehensive breathing assessment protocols and nervous system evaluation tools to identify dysfunctional patterns and clinical implications, giving you clear roadmaps for intervention.

Apply: You'll master somatic breathwork techniques, polyvagal-informed practices, and thermal exposure protocols that address anxiety, trauma, and performance blocks at the nervous system level—going beyond what traditional talk therapy can achieve.

Integrate: You'll seamlessly weave these evidence-based practices into your existing therapeutic or coaching modalities (CBT, DBT, IFS, EMDR, ETC.), enhancing their effectiveness while maintaining your professional approach.

Transform: You'll develop your own personal practice for nervous system regulation, ensuring you end each day with energy for what matters most while preventing professional burnout and secondary trauma.

And the best part?

You'll join a community of rigorously trained practitioners who are creating breakthrough results by addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—through cutting-edge somatic science.

What Makes This Program Unique

Unlike other programs that simply transfer knowledge, we fully equip you to serve clients through hands-on practice and feedback. Our certification isn't just an information dump—it's a carefully structured journey that ensures you can effectively apply these powerful tools in both your life and your work.

  • Rigorous Standards: Minimum 20 training hours and 20 supervision hours with expert feedback

  • Experiential Learning: Feel it in your body first through guided breathwork and contrast therapy

  • Evidence-Based Approach: Grounded in polyvagal theory, somatic experiencing, and nervous system science

  • Practical Application: Get real experience leading sessions with comprehensive feedback

  • Safety First: Master contraindications and ethical applications

  • Comprehensive Integration: Learn to weave breathwork seamlessly into existing therapeutic and coaching modalities

Our Teaching Philosophy: See One, Do One, Teach One

Each component follows our proven learning method:

  1. See One: Observe and understand the technique through expert demonstration

  2. Do One: Experience it in your body to truly understand its effects

  3. Teach One: Practice teaching the technique with expert feedback

Here's how we'll start...

Pre-Work (2-3 weeks before) You'll complete prerequisite materials that include experiencing breathwork techniques and understanding the basic science of nervous system regulation. This ensures we can hit the ground running when we gather in person. You'll also join a virtual Zoom meeting to connect with your cohort, review materials, and prepare for the intensive training ahead.

Day 1 - Experience the Work (Half Day + Evening) - Central Oregon: You'll experience the transformative power of these practices firsthand through guided breathwork sessions and contrast therapy introduction, followed by group connection and  dinner.

Day 2 - Foundations & Assessment: We'll dive deep into polyvagal theory in practice, breathing assessment methodology, and nervous system state tracking with extensive hands-on practice and feedback.

Day 3 - Advanced Techniques & Integration: You'll master breathwork facilitation, learn integration with therapeutic modalities, and practice thermal exposure therapy protocols for clinical applications.

Day 4 - Practical Assessment: You'll lead supervised practice sessions, receive comprehensive feedback, complete your final assessment, and develop business implementation strategies.

Post-Work - Complete 10 hours of virtual supervision sessions to discuss implementation of learned techniques with clients, plus submit 3 detailed case studies demonstrating your application of breathwork and nervous system integration methods in practice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What makes this certification different from other breathwork programs?

A: Most programs focus solely on information delivery. Our certification emphasizes the practical skills needed to effectively teach and apply these methodologies through our "See One, Do One, Teach One" approach. You'll complete minimum 20 training hours and 10 supervision hours with expert feedback, ensuring true competency rather than just completion.

Q: Do I need prior experience with breathwork or somatic practices?

A: No prior experience is necessary. The prerequisite materials will give you the foundation you need, and our program is designed to take you from beginner to competent practitioner. However, you should be committed to your own personal practice and growth.

Q: How much time should I expect to invest in the prerequisite work?

A: Plan for 8-12 hours over 2-3 weeks to complete the prerequisite materials, including guided breathwork experiences and scientific foundations. This ensures we can hit the ground running during the intensive.

Q: What if I can't attend all four days?

A: All four days are mandatory for certification. The program is designed as a progressive experience where each day builds on the previous. We maintain small class sizes specifically to ensure personalized attention and optimal learning.

Q: Are there medical contraindications I should be aware of?

A: Yes, there are several contraindications including pregnancy, cardiovascular conditions, respiratory issues, recent surgery, and certain mental health conditions. We cover comprehensive safety protocols and contraindications as part of the certification. You'll also learn when to refer to medical professionals.

Q: Can I use these techniques with trauma clients?

A: We cover trauma-informed applications and integration with EMDR and other trauma therapies. However, working with trauma requires additional specialized training beyond this certification. We teach you to recognize when clients need trauma-specific care and how to refer appropriately.

Q: What's my scope of practice after certification?

A: This certification enhances your existing practice as a therapist or coach. You'll integrate these tools within your current scope of practice and professional guidelines. We don't diagnose or treat medical conditions - we teach nervous system regulation and somatic awareness.

Q: Why is this certification more expensive than online programs?

A: You're investing in rigorous, hands-on training with expert feedback rather than passive information consumption. Our small class sizes (max 15), intensive supervision, and comprehensive support justify the investment. Most online programs can't provide the practical competency development you'll receive.

Q: Are payment plans available?

A: Yes, we offer flexible payment options to make this transformative training accessible. Contact us during your clarity call to discuss payment arrangements that work for your situation.

Q: What ongoing support is included?

A: Your investment includes 3 months of supervision access, updated protocols, continuing education opportunities, and connection to our community of certified practitioners. This isn't a one-time training - it's ongoing professional development.

Q: How do I integrate these techniques into my existing practice?

A: We spend significant time on integration strategies for different modalities (CBT, DBT, IFS, EMDR, etc.). You'll learn to weave these practices seamlessly into your current approach rather than replacing what you already do.

Q: Will I be able to charge more for sessions after certification?

A: Many practitioners find they can offer premium services or specialized programs. We cover business implementation strategies, but your earning potential depends on your market, experience, and how you apply these skills.

Q: What if my clients aren't interested in breathwork?

A: These techniques often work best when integrated subtly into existing therapeutic processes. You'll learn to introduce nervous system regulation concepts in ways that feel natural and non-threatening to clients.

Q: Where exactly in Central Oregon does the training take place?

A: The intensive takes place in Sisters, Oregon. The local airport is Redmond (RDM), and it’s 25 minutes away. Portland is a larger airport that is 3 hours away. Specific location details will be provided upon registration. The setting is chosen to support the immersive, transformative nature of the experience.

Q: What should I bring to the training?

A: We'll provide a detailed packing list after registration. Generally, bring comfortable clothes for movement, a journal, and an open mind. All training materials and resources are provided.

Q: Are meals included?

A: The Day 1 dinner is included. Coffee, snacks and lunch will be provided. For dinner, we'll share information about local dining options that support the nutritional aspects of the training.

Q: I'm already overwhelmed with my current practice. How can I add more?

A: This training actually helps reduce overwhelm by giving you tools for personal nervous system regulation and more effective client interventions. Many practitioners find their work becomes more efficient and less draining after certification.

Q: What if I don't feel confident teaching these techniques after four days?

A: That's exactly why we include 10 supervision hours post the in-person training and ongoing support. Confidence comes through practice and feedback, not just initial training. We're committed to your success beyond the four-day intensive.

Q: How do I know if this approach aligns with my therapeutic orientation?

A: These are evidence-based techniques that complement rather than replace your existing approach. During your clarity call, we'll discuss how these tools can enhance your specific therapeutic modality.

Q: Will this certification be recognized by my licensing board?

A: Licensing requirements vary by state and profession. We recommend checking with your board about somatic and breathwork training requirements in your jurisdiction.

Q: What if I can't afford the full investment right now?

A: We understand this is a significant investment in your professional development. That's why we offer payment plans and Early Bird pricing until September 1st. Consider this an investment in both your personal sustainability and professional growth that will pay dividends for years to come.
